Training Hike on the AT

It was pretty inspiring to spend a night last weekend on the Appalachian Trail. I got to try out my super-lightweight 1-person tent! I also tried out my new jetboil stove and learned that I need an extra attachment to use it without starting a forest fire. Good to learn pre-dry-as-a-bone-California.

As always, my navigation skills were superb. I'm sure I won't get lost this summer.

While out for the night, I got kind of excited about doing the AT one day. I guess I should focus on one long trail at a time. Lets see if I like this long distance hiking thing before I start setting triple crown goals.

Yep, feeling pretty pumped to get more of this.
